Mini copperlocks are amazing. I have one that I carry as my EDC, and I love it. I reprofiled the tip slightly, as I found the curve a little too extreme, but otherwise it's perfect and infinitely pocketable. But I've been wondering about the "select" versions that are only sold at certain authorized retailers and the "pocketworn" versions that you can buy online. I'm having trouble visualizing the difference since they all use the same materials.

Does anyone have a regular, pocketworn, and select that they can compare? I looked at the pics online, and they all look the same, but apparently the pocketworn and select versions are nicer... but I don't know how and I can't tell from the pics. Some detailed pics of the areas where they are different would be great if anyone has any.

EDIT: Meant to say "select" instead of "special"

Update: I just ordered a Pocketworn Mini Copperlock in Bermuda Bone and a XX Select Copperlock in Moss Green Winterbottom Bone. Pics to come. :D

I have a Bermuda green pocketworn. It's all the same as a regular but it's been finished more as of being more smooth around bolsters and scales. I like the knife but it's just too small for me. I carry a full size copperlock sumtimes. You will be happy with the pocketworn tho.

The 'Case XX Select' versions feature additional embellishments, like long pulls in place of standard nail nicks, swedging, offset and other different blade grinds, filework (blade, springs), special tang stamps & shields, engraving, pinched or grooved bosters, nickel liners instead of brass (sometimes), and usually some unique handle materials as well, like mammoth ivory, pearl/paua shell, or higher grades of stag. Sometimes, they might even feature a flat grind on models that ordinarily have hollow grinds.

That PW Bermuda Bone is a very nice choice, the PW is obviously more smoothed down than standard jigging but I find it a decent option. I've got the Harvest Orange, Berm Green and Dark Red on various knive, all very pleasant and credible.

Of course, you can get PW authentic effect by years of carry (transluscence cannot be brought on artificially..) or by sanding by hand!

Regards, Will
