Case knives with Wharncliffe blades?

There are some mini trappers with a Wharncliff as well - the Case/Carhartt mini trapper is a single blade, and there is a large Case distributor who's done what appears to be an SFO in this same pattern in yellow with CV. No first hand experience with either, however.

I've been chicken eyein' that Chestnut bone Teardrop in CV from the current catalogue. 7016, I think it is.

It's a "Special Factory Order" or a small batch of knives, not part of the normal lineup, commissioned and built to order by a company or individual, so as far as I know, that CV yellow wharncliffe mini trapper is only available through the one retailer.

I have been waiting on a 6.5 Bone Stag Teardrop for a week and i have just seen on the tracker that it is at Heathrow, about 5 miles from my house so i guess it will take another 3 days at least to get to me and then some serious coon fingering will ensue.

I've got a case copperlock, full size not mini, with a wharncliffe blade in cv. It's definitely not current, but I don't recall if I got it in the late 90's or early aughts. Very nice pocket carry and plenty of blade, point and real easy to get poppin' sharp

Ps forgot to say it has yellow delrin covers

You'll be happy when it arrives. Mine is great. The fit and finish on the Tony Bose design knives is better than standard Case. And to forewarn you: the Bonestag is thick. At least mine is. It makes a pleasant taper in hand though. Enjoy!![emoji482]

Hi D.B well the Bone Stag Teardrop arrived and as you say it has good thick covers that taper handily, although not as well matched as the scales on my 6.5 Bone Stag Gent which is the neatest knife and the only one to push my Chestnut bone peanut out of my watch pocket. I like the extension springs on the Teardrop giving it that extra bit of class, of course also extra weight, mine came with a small chip in the bone stag on the pile side right by the centre pin, but a gentle bit of smoothing with a fine emery board and a touch up with a Sharpie and i cant hardly see it.
So my Case wharncliffe collection is a Teardrop, Swayback Gent, Mini Trapper and the star of my modest haul is a Case Tony Bose collaboration antique bone Trapper it is the reason most of my knives had to find a new home, but i figured it is the closest i will ever get to owning a genuine Tony Bose masterpiece.

Sweet! I have the Carhartt version, I need to watch for one of these to pop up. I checked one of the very popular Case sites amd couldn't find this cover material now it makes sense. Love the single blade minis though!

Here's a single wharncliffe blade mini-trapper. I think it must have been an exclusive for the dealer, as I haven't seen another in grey bone. I think they called it "Rogers corn cob jigged bone" or something like that. :)

Oh, I just remembered, they also made a "Tiny Trapper" with a wharncliffe blade. I don't think I have a picture handy, though. Very tiny- smaller than a peanut.
