I've been looking at the Case Leather Hunter series (fixed blade) online and would like to order one, but I cannot find a picture of the rear of the sheath. Does anyone have one of these, and if so, is there a belt loop on the back?

Also, it appears from the pictures that they are all designed for left-side carry (or at least with the blade in what I would consider is a reversed position on the right). Is that actually the case? Or are the images reversed?

Example on the case site here: http://bit.ly/PN32lV

Thanks

N.B. If this is covered elsewhere, pointers to the thread are appreciated, but my weak search-fu failed to turn up a relevant previous thread.

I'm sure there's a belt loop on it. It does seem strange, that the sheaths shown on Case's site do seem to be oriented for the left hip (assuming the knife is carried with cutting edge to the rear). Images don't appear to be reversed; I think I can see the 'W.R. CASE & SONS' lettering on the snap/button, and it's not backwards, so far as I can tell. Here's an enlarged snip of one of the images seen in your referenced link:

If it were me, I'd send Case an email or give them a call, and ask them if these can be obtained in a 'right hand' configuration. Oddly enough, the 'Twin Finn' 2-knife set shown in your link has a sheath that seems to be right-hand oriented, but the others all seem to be left-hand.

Interesting. The Twin Finn set seems to come in a righty sheath, all the rest look like left handed sheaths...
Wonder why.
I'm sure there's a belt loop on the back.
I'd call or email Case just to make sure though.

All of the following came with right side carry sheaths. The leather handled have belt loops and the ridgebacks are made where the top of the sheath folds back ans is sewn on back to make loop.

Case Ridgeback Caper CA1401
Case Ridgeback Skinner 398
Case 316-5 Hunter 381
Case M3FINN 379
