Just saw these on a dealer's site the other day. So nice looking, don't think anything has caught my eye as much as those. I don't normally spend that much on my knives, but I may have to make an exception. But which pattern... Really liking the tear drop and half whittler... Or maybe all of them. heh.

I would recommend the 6347 stockman, the mediterranean blue looks great. I have the burnt cream Damascus 6347, and love it.

I have come across these just few days ago - I understand that they are just arriving to dealers. Look nice indeed. My pick would be the wharncliffe mini trapper.

It does makes me wonder how one manages to make a knife with Devin Thomas damascus blade for under $100 ...

Considering that those patterns are 40-50 bucks there is no way case is spending am extra 50 just to upgrade the steel on material cost. Especially since I'm sure they get a deal when buying in bulk. If anything,I bet their margins are better on these knives.

Ah, I remember thinking that burnt cream + damascus combo looked really good too, although not as good as the mediterranean blue.

I admire the stockman pattern, but just haven't really been able to click with it. I'm leaning toward either the teardrop or half whittler.

oooo, I didn't know about those handles. Very eye-catching, I like em.

My affection for Case's mediterranean blue is a matter of record :D, so of course I'm eager to see how these knives turn out.

Some of the stock photographs are promising, indeed:

Others give me pause, especially considering how widely (wildly?) many of Case's actual knives have been discovered to vary in appearance from their catalog images.

... I wonder if these latter two patterns will (intentionally) sport much more white in their covers, or if the images portend a wide variation in how much blue is on each knife, across all the patterns?

No matter what, the damascus is a nice touch.

I'm looking forward to everyone's real-life pictures. :)

The variety of colors is not just Case, I think it's just life with bone. I have a Boker with beautiful dark red bone with no white areas. Other knives of the same model, vintage and bone have a variety of shades running from white to the dark red I have. That's why at shows, sometimes exceptional bone or stag makes me pull the trigger more than the pattern or manufacturer.

There are some Bladeforums dealers that will pull the knife out and tell you what it looks like on the phone. New Graham is one I have had luck with.

Recieved three of the blue bone damascus sodbuster jr yesterday, from an Oklahoma Case dealer. The blue is very deep with only a little white next to the brass liners

Interestingly, two of the blades appear to be DT twist pattern damascus.

Any pics to share?

Just got the stockman this week. I must say, this one is really nice. The blades, since they are damascus, are overly tumbled and rounded like most Case knives. The snap is nice and clean on all blades. There is no play and the knife, overall, just feels like it was put together with a little more care than a normal Case stockman.

That's phenomenal. Congratulations! :)

I'm thinking you mean, are not overly tumbled and rounded...?

That's my experience with Case Damascus. Nice crisp swedges on the half dozen I have.
