I just received one from a great friend of mine (pictures to come) and I have found it to be a great size. Does anyone carry one or has some experience with this pattern for any extended amount of time? I would love to see some well worn, well loved one too..

Cheers,

Yea, Paul was so kind to send me a 1983 "New Grind" 22087 I really like it and now it has sentimental value with it. It has been fighting for power with the yellow cv peanut my wife surprised me with for christmas. So far I like the mindless SS on the 22087 and I love the little razor sharp peanut in CV to go with it. I was just wondering if anyone EDC's a 22087 or similar and has some input and great pictures.

Nice

Got that exact same version - love it. Found one on a trade blanket at a outdoor skills event. Had planned on gifting it to my Father In-law, but I ended up keeping it. Fit and finish were very nice, and the tip of the main blade was very pointy. Only thing that could make me like it more is if Case offered a version in jigged bone & CV steel.

At 3-3/8" that knife for me hits a real sweet spot of big-knife functionality in a small-knife package. I have one is green bone and love it. It's kind of like a Peanut on steroids. If it were made if CV, or better yet D2 it would be a grail knife for me. I keep hoping to see it as a Case offering or a Forum Knife one year, but...not yet.

That's a nice one. My Uncle gave me one at Christmas, when I was 7 or so, my second or 3rd knife, really got me hooked on knives. The #220 will always have a place with me.

I've had this one several years now, lot of blade in a compact knife - won't age much due to the stainless steel blades, but I like the working finish in lieu of the high polish. OH

I tried emailing Case and suggesting they should offer it in chestnut jigged bone & CV steel since the Texas Jack comes in amber jigged bone & CV steel. Response was pretty much "Thanks for your interest in Case knives, keep checking out the new stuff coming out".

Definitely my favorite watch pocket knife:

The Queen #2 I picked up before the end of the year is competing with it though :D

I had one of the newer ones, and sold or traded it before giving it a real chance. I may pick up another, one of these days. A CV chestnut bone model would make that purchase a certainty.

Did someone mention Bone and CV ? :d Yours is very similar to the old 62087. I've had this knife so long, I don't even remember when I bought it exactly. I really like the pattern. Bigger than a Peanut, but still disappears in pocket.

Now THAT"S a jackknife!!! Love it, and I would scoop one up immediately if they made them in bone and CV.

Thanks Robb. With a little searching and patience, you can still find one of the older ones for sale. Granted they are a little more $, but worth every penny imho
