Case mini-trapper and friends

A buddy of mine recently sent me this sweet Case 6207 mini-trapper that he got brand new a long time ago. He thought it was time to go to a new good home. Can I tell you that I've been grinning from ear to ear ever since I opened up his package?!

The knife's been through the ringer and has the patina to show for it. I thought it looked pretty good next to a few other well used friends (Hamilton Khaki watch and Parker 21 fountain pen, a good little slice of Americana for ya). Sorry for the smudges and scrapes, but these pieces are too fine not to want to use them hard every day.

Nice! I really like those older Case mini trappers mainly because they had the pen blade rather than the long spay blade. I think that is a 1977 model?

BTW, welcome!

Nice knife and sweet Hamilton also. I have a Khaki with the stainless band.

I love your knife.

I carry one very similar to yours.....mine is an 8 dot (1972). I carry it frequently because it was made the year my wife was born. :)

Here is mine...

You're right with that '77 date as far as I know. That jibes with his recollection that he had it in his pocket when he first started courting his now-wife.

Looks great! That mini-trapper design has about everything I want in a pocket knife and nothing I don't. I can really see now why so many here go on about vintage slippies.

Congrats on the M/T... One of my favorite edc knives. I don't know why they don't get more attention than they do.
Not to big, not to small, comfortable in hand, and has half stops :D

I've got some more pics somewhere if I can find them, but these will have to do for now...

Knives that are gifted seals friendships for a lifetime, and sometimes into another generation.

Yes, they should bring back the pen-blade on that model NOW!
Fine watch there as well.
