Case sharpened one of my knives sent in for repair. They did a good job. Factory fresh, I’ve found the edge varies by price. Bose/Case have a very good edge, $50 CV has a decent edge but put on with a coarser grit. The only flaw I’ve found out of the box was a wire edge which was easy to fix.My opinion is Case butchers their edges. Even if I was a piss poor sharpener, I’d elect to do it myself.
I haven't had Case sharpen any knives for me, but the I agree with the rest of this statement. I'll also add that the half dozen or so Damascus bladed Case knives I've had were sharpened to my satisfaction.Case sharpened one of my knives sent in for repair. They did a good job. I’ve found several problems, including knives that couldn’t cut paper. I’m not saying Case could or should do better- I just think even a beginning knife sharpener could do a better job than some examples I received. I wouldn’t ever send one to case for a new edge.Case sharpened one of my knives sent in for repair. They did a good job. Factory fresh, I’ve found the edge varies by price.
