Does anyone have one of the Case Pacific Blue series? I'm curious about the color. Post a pic if you've got one.

When I look at the Case website I see the color shown in the first pic below. Compare that to my knife (second pic) and you can see a drastic difference in color. I like the color of my SBJ but it certainly looks nothing like the marketing photos.

The color in my image is spot-on so I don't know if the series varies that greatly, or if their photography is that bad.

I don't have a Case in that color Neal, but I like the "closer to shore" :D color of yours better than the one in the stock photo.

Looks a little more like the old Carribean Blue they made back in 2005-06. They seem to have a little trouble matching blue colors for their pictures. The actual knives are usually more teal colored than the stock photos - maybe they need a monitor calibration!!! :D

I think the one you got is very pretty - probably just not what you expected. I would call that a DRASTIC DIFFERENCE though!

Another example of why I like to buy any new Case "in person".:)

I've often wondered if they just Photoshop the colors of their stock photos rather than go to the trouble of photographing the different series for each pattern. Whoever processes the photos may not always have an example of the exact color at hand.

I also learned firsthand that Case stock photos aren't to be trusted (though some of that fault lies with certain vendors as well). I bough a SBJ in 'cayenne' bone several years ago. It looked like a nice, warm burnt orange in the photo, and the dye job looked thorough from end to end. What I received instead was a bright, cheap-looking pinkish-orange and a poor dye job. It was so bad I never even carried it, but turned it around and sold it. Yours, while the color is obviously not accurate, looks much better. Like Primble said, I would only buy a new Case in person.

This would not be the first time that the official Case catalog photos did not match the actual knife color, and I don't mean just the occasional variations in dye where they don't get full dye coverage on the red knives.

I have learned with new Case handle colors to wait until I can see photos of the actual knives before I will buy one. One that was a pleasant surprise was their "Second Cut Antique Bone" which looked to be a rather dark sewage green color in their photos, but in person is a rather lovely golden brown

On the bad side, their Sunset Winterbottom Bone looked like a nice graduated dark reddish brown blending into an amber bone near the bolster in their pics, but the actual product was a bright red and yellow circus tent colored knife with a little black painted on in the middle.

I like your color better anyway. Its looks like the lighting was optimized to highlight the shield and stamp details at the expense of the color saturation
