Case Pass Around Box #9: It Lives

Hey Everyone!

I got selected on the last go round of the box by rcs86 rcs86 and got the box last week. I’ve had some time to check out the knives considering and ended up keeping two. I’ll put images and what I chose in a post below, this is just to get the thing going again.

Here’s the rules:

I will draw a winner and send the box to them.
They will choose two, three, or how ever many knives.
They will replace the knives with some of their own (Case Knives Only).
They will hold their own drawing and pass the box on to the next person.

Porch Members Only!
Must have over 50 posts in the Traditional Knife Forum.
This rule must follow the box every time or John will call foul.

I will also keep it to CONUS only to save a bundle on shipping and massive paperwork.

If you want to be “in”, just state “I’m in”. I’ll keep a running list, if you see me missing your name, let me know and I’ll get it fixed. Will let this go until the middle of next week and draw the next recipient

Sorry for the delay, it’s been hectic at work. But here’s my rundown of the box.

I got the box last week and it had more than a couple things that caught my eye. There really aren’t any knife shops that I know of in Southern California. The ones I used to go to have closed down. I really was mostly excited to check out stuff that I never get to see in person.
I carried some for a day or two and ended up settling on these two.

The Russlock is rad. Now that I had time to mess with one for a while and figured out how to open it. And the old whittler doesn’t have the snap that I’d like on all the blades, but it’s got a split spring and an old case shield and I couldn’t say no.

I added in these two. I wanted to put a pattern in that wasn’t represented already so the little swayback went in. Someone is gonna like that, I’m sure. And the other one is a old pen knife with a blade deleted making a real slim knife that I’ve enjoyed and I hope someone else does now.

I’m gonna let this run until the middle of the week sometime. Come on people, join in. The stuff in this box is great!

Bumping this back up to see if we can get any more participants. I probably won’t be shipping out til Monday. Tested positive for Covid on Sunday, thankfully it hasn’t been too bad.

I’m In Southern CA and it’s going around like crazy right now, but fortunately everyone I know who has gotten it recently has been ok, symptoms not too bad. Hope you feel better soon.

That swayback is sweet!
 
Great adds Joe! The Russlock has been on my latest list as a pattern to try - one of those weird Case patterns that has grown on me. Hope to hear how you like it!

Hope you have a smooth recovery my man.
 
Alright guys, I think Covid has pretty much run it’s course on me. I’m feeling way better, pretty much back to normal. I’m gonna bump this, pull the winner on Wednesday night and ship out Thursday. So get in now if you’re going to.

Thanks for the well wishes, I think it helped speed my recovery.
