I have a small 1980 Coke bottle and I am confused about the pattern number.The knife is stamped P2261/2

P = Pakkawood

2 = number of blades

26 = pattern number?

1/2 = type blade

I thought the small Coke bottle was pattern # 25 and that pattern # 26 was and old serpentine style jack knife.

Can someone straighten me out on this?

Thank you, hughd

I'm sure you've already checked but just in case you haven't, Are you sure the 6 isn't really a 5 with some dirt or a scratch making it look like a 6?

10-4 Rick, The knife is as new and I am using a good magnifying glass. Also, if it matters, the knife is a coke 1 of 2500 run.

The 26 was a limited run pattern, similar to the 25 pattern "Coke Bottle". I recall that the 26 had a flat end so it would stand up so it looked like a real Coke bottle, with smooth black handles.

The first 2 means 2 blades, the 26 is the handle code, and the 1/2 for clip master blade. I have no idea what Case intended for the P to represent but that would be the handle material, in this case it is not Pakkawood but IIRC a black handle with a Coca Cola imprint. Unless it really is dark Pakkawood, not plastic.

Pocket Knife Traders Price Guide Vol. 9, Buzz Parker, Ed Henley, and Tony Foster- Shows it as 2226 1/2 1 dot, 75 Anniversary Coca Cola, Slick Black-1 of 5000

I just looked up an example on the big auction site. The handles are smooth black Pakkawood which explains the P.
