Case Pattern Tang Stamp Question

Long story short, I have a 1979 [edited to correct year] Case "Coke Bottle" knife. It matches up with the 25 Case pattern. However, the pattern number is 25 1/2 with the "1/2" in a smaller font but semi-stacked so it is the same height as the "25".

What does the "1/2" signify? (The scales are brown jigged Delrin.) Thanks!

Sorry, I don't have a picture available right now, but will post one tomorrow if necessary.

From Steve Pfeiffer's book -- If I'm reading this correctly, the "1/2" was added in the Case XX era, but it doesn't explain why or what the difference is.

The basic pattern: The 25 pattern is well known by Case collectors as the “Coke Bottle.” It is a small swell-center jack knife with a closed length of 3” and goes back to the early years of Case. Blade and handle variations: The 25 pattern has traditionally had a clip master blade and a small pen blade. During the Case XX era, the following principal variation was made:
• 6225 1/2, with bone handles, clip master blade and pen blade.
...
The 6225 1/2 in the CASE XX stamping will be found in several of the Case XX-era bone color variations including green, regular and red, as well as in rough black. The use of bone handles on the 6225 1/2 continued into the 1970s. During the 1970s, delrin was substituted for bone on the 6225 1/2 on a random basis. It is possible the 6225 1/2 was changed to being handled 100 percent in delrin after 1973. I have personally never seen a bone-handled specimen from the 1970s made between 1973 and 1979.

The ½ usually denotes a blade change, say from the normal spear main to a clip main, or possibly vice versa.

Thanks for the help! I finally got around to taking some pictures. (This is a work in progress.)
