Hi Folks,
Yes, still new here and buying knives like a maniac and searching for that special one. Well, you know what I mean.....
Anyway, a couple of months ago I bought a Sod Buster Jr, yellow CV. Thought it was pretty nice; but, put it away.
Then I saw Trev's great post with all of the Sod Busters and pulled it out. Well, have been carrying it and using it since and I really like this knife. It's well made, blade centered, and so on and came sharp. I've been using it for what I guess would be the usual stuff for many of us: opening letters and packages, chopping vegetables and peeling apples and doing a little crude (yes, very crude) whittlin'.
I've held off in ordering a "bunch" of these knives.... Whew, but am wanting to buy the Amber Bone version. What do you folks think of that model?
Also, for those of you who carry this model what is the appeal for you? I think the size is about perfect and for the things that I use a knife for it is more than adequate. And, I guess there is some appeal about trying to made do, if you will, with one blade.
Anyway, thanks for accommodating a new guy.
All comments and thoughts will be well received.
Regards,
George
