does anyone have photos of these 2? I'm really starting to like the Case Stockman in CV. Don't like the yellow so much.

There are tons of different handle materials for Case peanut (no...not just yellow) and quite a few different handled 309s. Have you tried Google or Ebay? You'll find more pictures than you'll know what to do with.

All my uncles in Carolina swear that if it's not a yellow handle it's not a Case. I hoping for a yeller'in for father's day. If you don't like the yellow but want CV, look at chestnut bone or amber bone, both really nice.

I don't have a Case peanut to compare with but here is overview of most of the Buck 309s. The newer round bolstered ones in the bottom photo are the current factory offering, the others you would have to "locate". I feel good about the changes in the new models and am expecially fond of the new yellow model. I could however feel even better if the scale rivets were a little bit smaller. I think they are the same size as used on the 301 and 303 but would rather see them 'scaled' in size to the knife, I also like the old Camillus Swedge on the clip blade and wish it would return, I am also glad to see the smaller nail nic on the new yellow.......the 309 fits easily in a jean watch pocket and is a good slacks or Sunday knife.........300

Do not fear men! The OP suffers from ADDHD, with a minor case of snifteritis. I too, find myself wandering aimlessly, posting random thoughts as I sit in my spa right now watching an oppossum cross the back wall adjacent to the pharmacy behind my house. My sentence structure becomes long drawn out as I non sequiter into the next thought. Has anyone seen an owl fly at night, it is quite silent and gracefull. I am tired now, my post has bored me right out.:D:( Now, what were we talkin about?:eek:

I must have missed something here. I think I'll go make myself a toddy.

Oh, sorry. I have a Buck 309,303 (newer 3 spring layout), and a 307. I bought my self the 303 the same time as a Case 3318CV. My usual EDC is the 309, however since I love the CV steel was interested in a size comparison.
Again sorry for confusing everyone. :foot:

I do have a Old Timer peanut, do I get half credit......I carried this Peanut all thru high school, then went to college and became a Buckaholic..........no program has been of help........300
