Can any of you folks tell me how rare a single blade smooth red bone peanut is? Found it today and it's the first one I've ever seen with a single blade. Unless I'm mistaken the item number from the box is 2090. I didn't buy it, but I'm thinking I need it.

Any and all info is appreciated.

It's better to buy it and later regret it, than not buy it and regret it for a long, long time.

He's definitely right about that statement. Go ahead and get it, you really don't have any good reason not to do it. It can't be that expensive, but could be worth more than it costs now and who knows in the future. - Ed

I bought one of the 1 blade peanuts for my wife's grandpa as a gift about 6 or 7 years ago,he loved it and carried it every day.he made sure to leave it to me when he died about 5 years ago,I can't carry it for fear of losing it,but it is a very handy knife easy to grasp the blade and open.I sure miss that man, seems like he knew everything and had a tool to fix it.

Harold's right. Buy it and enjoy it. I didn't see any single bladed peanuts in smooth red bone but it looks like there is a jigged bone, Coca-Cola red out there from 2002(?). My 6120 is in antique bone and it just disappears in your pocket.

That was the only reason I didn't leave with it. IMO, it was a little higher than what a bone handle should be. That and it being smooth bone, it was fairly plain and not terribly attractive. What caught my interest was the single blade and how thin it was. I imagine I'll go back for it in a few days it it's still on my mind.

He had one other single blade Case peanut. It featured stag scales and came with a bail on the end.

I have one of these in my box, I think it is from the mid to late 90's. The damascus is awesome. I would add a pic but still trying to get the whole pic situation from camera to forum. I also think I have a tan Micarta also from about that time.

A tan micarta Peanut with one blade? 10120? I hope you get your camera working, because I would love to see it. The 5120 pictured is gorgeous by the way.
