Case Pen Amber Bone or Buck Duet

First knife for my Grandson to put away till he's old enough. Case Small Pen Amber Bone, and or the new Buck Duet (black handle). I like both of these knives because they have the scissors, and a nice size blade. Does anyone have any experience with either? I was leaning for the popular SAK Cadet, but I don't really like the silver handle choice they only make now (I know I could look for another color on the bay, but they get pricey). Thanks for your help.

My experiences with Buck and Case lead to the following generalization:
The Buck holds an edge better, the Case is more nicely rounded and finished.

That being said, I've not tried this model from either company.

I think either will be fine. What a great gift.
