Where may one find info about a production run of a certain type of case product? I found a ”budding knife” made in late 60’s. I haven’t been able to find anymore info.
any help

Is this what you’re after? Are you wanting to know the value or are you wanting a knife that is similar? If you want one similar, I recommend you get a gunstock and carry a butterknife as well.

Probably need to check on the Case Collectors Club forum. But they charge a membership fee to get access.

There are also books on Case history. I believe the book below is the definitive guide.

Collecting Case Knives: Identification and Price Guide for Pocket Knives Paperback – December 9, 2015

That is it. I would like to know how many of these were made by case. To me it is a very special kind of knife so I can’t imagine they made millions of them

Case doesn't have "production runs" like GEC does. They make a lot of knives and a bunch of different patterns. Case probably makes more knives in a week than GEC does in a whole year. If they are going to gear up to produce a specific pattern, it not going to be just a few hundred, its going to be many thousands.
The 09 is a specialty pattern, but one that is used by many more people than you would think. There are many universities with arboricultural programs, government agricultural agencies and laboratories, the private horticultural and agricultural industries etc that would require a supply of budding and grafting tools.
Which tang stamp does the knife have? The one shown above is XX USA from 1965-69. Case made the 09 pattern from the Tested era, before 1950, through the XX and XX USA years until 1969.
