Hey guys. Iv been noticing something. Case's CV models are kinda hard to find online, and they dont list any of them in their online catalogue. Do they still make them? Iv wanted an Antique Saddle horn since the moment i saw one in a rag add a few years ago. Id like to know if I can get a CV model.

Iv been trying to search the forums for Case related topics but i haven't been able to search, even a simple quick search for "Case", all day. It errors out with Firefox AND Internet Explorer.

Also, has anyone used the Hobo? Iv been wanting one for my pack for a while.

I've noticed the same thing. when you find a store that carries case they usually only have ss. you might try smokey mountain knifeworks, and hit gunshows as they sometimes have pretty good selections. you can also try ebay. later, ahgar
farmers coops tend to carry case.

Currently no, the Antique Saddle Horn is SS only.

www.newgraham.com
and
www.knifeworks.com

Both carry Case's "CV" lines.

Thanks guys. It apears that the CV line is made up mostly of the different stockman variations.

So what about the Hobo? Is it worth the $70 price tag compared to the Ka-Bar version which adds a can opener for $16? I know the fit and finish wont match up or anything, but as far as actual USE, can anyone tell me how they compare?

There is a variety of patterns in the CV line. There are about 10 in the yellow handled versions but less in the bonestag and i think the redbone is new and only a couple. Many full size ACE hardware stores carry about 5 or 6 CV patterns in the yellow handles running from about 25 to $45.
