I had one of these about 6 months ago and ended up giving it to my son. Since then I've thought about replacing it, and finally, about an hour ago, I did.

I do not have a lot of the traditional folders, and what I do have are from Case Cutlery. The Case knives I bought back in the 80's early 90's seem to be some of the worst ones I had seen as far as fit/finish. But somewhere along the road, started to buy a Case every so often starting 5 years ago, things seem to have greatly improved. The last 5 Case knives I've purchased have had good fit/finish, and a very sharp, if rough, edge from the factory. Any of the Case knives I get I smooth out the edge on a Sharpmaker.

I have a couple of large Gunstock patterns, a Barlow pattern, a Copperlock, a Canoe, and the Razor I got today. All of them have great "walk and talk", centered blades, no rounded points, and no gaps in the backsprings.

Oh, I did also pick up a pocket folding hunter in caramel bone (retired) as a present for my pastors birthday. He is a knifenut to a degree and I've given him a Case knife each of the last three years for his birthday and for Christmas. He likes the smaller knives, 3 1/8" or shorter in the closed position, and I've heard him mention a few times about the pocket folding hunter.

Since I'm a Baptist, I figure it will not hurt to "butter-up" the Pastor!!;):D

I don't know anyone that wouldn't like to get a new Case knife every year..
I have had a few that were less than ideal, lazy springs, dull. But for the most part they have all been of good quality.

I like case knives. I recently bought a amber bone medium stockman from a hardware store in my area a few days ago, and I loved it
