Case Red Synthetic

That's what I thought, but I just tried to dye a red Sway Back Gent Black (Fiebing's) and it reminded me of "water on a ducks back". It wiped right off with zero residue. Made me wonder if it was some other type of synthetic material... I have seen it listed as synthetic and Delrin synthetic.
