I really like this knife in the orange G10, kind of traditional with a modern edge. I was wondering if any of you guys own this knife? How is the lock on it? It looks like a nice big liner lock. Also is it stainless steel? And is it decent quality? Sorry for all the questions, I have to order it online because apparently Case dosen't have dealers for Canada. I usually EDC a SAK Soldier, but would like something similar that can be opened with one hand and can lock open. I'm quite hard on my SAK, I cut some big stuff where I'm really pushing hard on it, I've never had a problem with it, I would like something similar for a single bladed knife, would the Russlock fit the bill? Thanks for any comments in advance guys.

There was a pretty good discussion about Russlocks awhile ago. I would look at other options as well. like a Coperlock. Or a Scagel. The reason being that the liner sticks out. So it's hard to get a good grip on it.

I have a Bubba Gum Russlock. I like it as it is sort of unique, but for my hand it is a little off. I keep trying to use the "spur" as a thumbramp, but it doesn't work out that well.
If you want I will get some more pictures of it.

Thanks for the pics. I think it is kind of odd the way the blade sits when it's open, the pics of it online were only half open or closed, so I didn't get to see it open all the way. I'm not sure that I like that, looks awkward to handle.

It is definitely differrent.
Although, for cutting materials like boxes, packages, etc, the angle is a plus. Ed Schempp did a number of designs using that angle to increasecutting power and leverage. Someone more knowledgable than me should add to that. I will also try to find a reference for it.

I have the Orange G-10 one myself and like it a lot. Very unique pattern. Keep in mind that it is a slip joint with the liner as sort of a safety. It doesn't lock up like a "tactical" liner lock does.

I have a yellow handled CV Russlock. If the liner lock tab were smaller it would be a lot more comfortable to grip.
