Case s35vn.

Does anybody know is case heat treating cpm s35vn steel? How are the new crossroads series knives?

dont know the hrc they are doing, but I have a case with this steel. its okay. feels on sharpening and use like its bit on the softer side.....not terrible or anything though. that isn't fact or scientific tested.

I have a Case Sodbuster in S35VN. Feels OK to me. Crisp on the diamond stones when I sharpened it.

One of the knife shops which has the capability to do their own testing (They would have to for the knives they design in-house) lists the S35VN sodbuster blade hardness at 60-62.

Case is usually pretty open about such things. If you contact them, they'll likely tell you their hardness spec.

They are even including clips to some of their sodbusters in the same steel

S35vn out of all the new steels feels to me the most like carbon steel in its sharpening qualities but holds much, much longer.........Luv s35

True. When they offered the run of 20CV knives I asked and they answered fairly quickly (60-61 in that case). It wouldn't hurt to ask them.
