Case Saddlehorn Steel

I have been window shopping the 3 1/2" Case Small Saddlehorn pattern. Some of the blades are stamped T.B. 621100 SS, is this TruSharp or is it a different SS? I like the pattern but I am pretty sure that I have purchased my last TruSharp knife. The TruSharp knives that I do have, I like and do use but I am appreciating carbon and better steels as time goes on.

Case has been pretty specific about the specialty steels they've used, when they use 'em. If it's anything other than 'SS' (which is TruSharp) or 'CV', it's generally labelled as such, sometimes even integrated into the pattern number on the tang. The most recent example I can think of, was the 'Tested XX' Red Barnboard series (back around '07 or so, I think), which used 154CM, and the pattern# on each knife reflected that.
