I have a CASE Shark Tooth 10-dot 1975- w/sheath. Anyone know the value of this? Or do I have a "paper weight"? Its been on the shelf for 3-years. Box and original papers. Courious? Never been used or carried. Tks- Might just keep it.

Hi hdk1 I just purchased a copperlock I don't know much about these knives.
Do the number of dots and x's mean somthing (age or year of manufacture) ?
Perhaps you could post us a picture. I don't see case knives in person just pictures on the net. All info would be helpfull. THANKS.DARRIN

Here is the pic...hope it comes through- Thanks for taking your time in this. Jeff

Howdy-
The breakdown of dots goes like this: Starting in 1970 with 10 dots and dropping 1 dot per year until 1980 when they slightly changed the tang with a lightning shaped "s" in the word CASE and then started over with 10 dots and once again decending 1 dot per year and then finally changing the tang @ 1990.
So, 10 dot would be circa 1970 and 5 dots would be 1975.
There are many different tang marks across the decades and you can see them in Levine's books I believe.
Here's a comparable knife to give you an idea-

Nice knife either way!

I just looked up the site. www.WRCASE.COM they have a spot named case collage! here the diferent tang stamps are described. your knife looks like a great user and that leather case is awsome. good luck
