Case shield

Good day,

I just got my first two case knives today a medium stock man in G10 and a trapper in blue bone. On the trapper the shield fell out after about 2 min after opening:grumpy: is this normal? and what should I epoxy it on with? I have some devicon stuff I use for epoxying my handles on my custom knives. Will this work? Will it wreck the bone handle?

Decidedly not normal, although ya seem to hear of it happening once in a while..

The devcon should be fine, won't hurt the bone; I use it to hold bone on knives I re-handle. As long as your carefull of amount, any seeped onto the top of the shield could be a real pain to remove once it starts to set...

Given the low likelyhood of hard jarring/impact in that area, I'd think a good super glue, specifically a gel should work fine also, and be instant set if you don't want to wait for the devcon.

Thanks I glued it last night with some gel glue for automotive trim seems to have worked well. Thanks for the advice.
