Hello everyone, I just picked up a Case Sidewinder at an Estate sale today and I'm looking for some advice. It has the original box, leather sheath and all of the paperwork. It appears it has never been used. However it is very tarnished and the action is very stiff (too stiff). I would like to clean it up and make look like it did in 1981 when it was made. However, I do not want to damage the value. So I'm looking for help please. Any and all suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.

to a collector, the tarnish called patina is what they want, if you clean it they will look down on it period, no going back. that said if you wish to proceed then flitz or other metal polish. if pitted then a sandpaper progression followed by a good metal polish. if you want the value for a collector then leave it alone if you choose to clean it then it is you.
