I recieved my Case slim lock a few days ago. I thought I would share some (bad) pictures. The blade steel is BG-42!!!. I like that. I also like the full flat grind. I can't wait to start useing it. I could not get the blade started with my thumb so I had to take some material off under the stud. I works great now. I'm not done polishing it yet. The scales are black walnut bone. Here are the stats: http://www.southerntackle.com/proddetail.asp?prod=CA5157

Thanks guys! I used it today to cut some cardboard and an apple, it is a great slicer.

Well....... There is a tiny bit of vertical play. I havn't figured out how to fix that yet. It seems that the liner lock is a tad short.

I should say, I also had to file down the detent ball a little with a diamond file. The blade was crammed in there with the liner lock and ball, it was hard to open. I have absoulutly no faith in any knife I buy anymore (and thats alot). No one makes consistently good knives, I ALWAYS have to fix something. Thanks for listening.:D

ditto to kodiac. i've had to put a new bevel on nearly every new knife. i do'nt mean a bevel like our knifenut buddies like, just a decent cutter. also good idea to check all the screws since i've found loosies on some out of box. on flippers i really give them the quick & forceful snap many times. if i get a sticky one i ca'nt lube up ,i send knife back.

Hi kodiak -

Beautiful - and great pictures of it too -

I would be sending it back to Case if I bought a great knife like that and it had play in the lockup. I am sure they would take care of it for you.

I did not even know Case made these - thanks for the info.

best regards -
