I just thought I would share this with you kind folks...I picked up this Dark Red Bone Twin Blade Small Texas Toothpick W/Cross Shield for my 15 year old son. I have introduced him to knife collecting and wanted to add to his collection for the holidays. He went through the Shepherd Hills website the other day and picked this toothpick out for his wish list.

I thought so much of the good looks of this knife with the Cross Shield that I figured to share it with ya'll before it gets wrapped up..

Take care and may you have all your Christmas wishes come true..:)

That's a really nice toothpick sunburst.
I'm sure your son will be all smiles when he finds out that santa sunburst heard his Shepheard Hills wish.

What a 'Jim Dandy' of a Toothpick your son picked out for himself there! This is the very first time I have seen the Cross Shield too. In a double blade non the less.. I am glad to see you to are starting your son off on the right path!. A chip off the old block I see..:D Excellent choice! Thanks very much for showing this one to us.

Incidentally, what other patterns did you see at the Sheppard Hills web site with the Cross Shield if you can recall?

Good morning sunburst, sunnyd et al. I haven't see a shield like that either. That is a great looking knife. I'm sure your son will be thrilled with it. Hopefully, there will be a little Schatt in your stocking this year Sunburst. Have you sent in your wish list?

Thank you gentlemen, it's always fun sharing new new things with your friends...It made me smile the other day when I whipped out my knives and started a little maintainance while watching TV and next thing I know my son had his collection out and was holding his little jewels in his hand asking ten thousand questions about knives...

Sunnyd - I have only seen the cross shield in the two bladed small toothpick, but the day after I ordered this they offered the same knife but with scrolled bolsters...A very nice combination...Here is the link to that page..:) http://www.shephillscc.com/DisplayHandlePageFH.asp?MaterialAutoID=32

SK- Hmmm I have not sent out my wish list yet, it's kinda hard when I feel like I have everything I have ever needed ;) I did announce to my bride last night that I found a knife I wanted on Ebay with a few minutes remaining and was going to play Santa to myself..:D

Here is what I picked up: A Scagel Folder, for $167.00, that was the best price I have seen on a Scagel folder so I jumped on it..:)

By the way what is Santa packing in your stocking this year gents??

sunburst, that Scagel is AB-SO-LU-TE-LY STUNNING!!!!!
I've been looking at these puppies myself for some time, but my wallet has told me no go for now.
In the meantime I'll have to make do with looking at all the good stuff you guys show here.

Thanks Karl,

I have also been looking at them for quite a while but never had the means to attempt getting one, I usually save most of my knife funds toward Schatt & Morgan products. I actually have two more waiting for me at the post office that I hope to pickup on Monday. The only way I could afford them was through a little bit of extra income from an extra job I picked up. And of course the old Santa trick works once a year...:D

Check out this nice article on the Scagel reproductions, you may find it interesting.
