Hello all. I just received a new Case American Workman Sod buster, with the blue scales. It arrived with the sides looking a bit "scuffed" in the middle. I can't really tell if that's the design or a defect. I've looked at some pictures on the Internet and haven't seen this on them.

Has anyone seen what I'm trying to describe? If anyone is interested, I can take some pictures and post them here.

Thanks.

I wouldn't worry too much about the scuffs, especially on this (generally regarded as) true 'working' knife. Delrin is relatively easy to scratch/scuff, but on the upside, it's also very easy to fix the scuffs. It's relatively soft, but also resilient enough to handle some real abuse (scuffs/drops/dings), without risking any real durability/functionality of the knife. Some light sanding with fine grit wet/dry sandpaper, such as 1000+ grit, will smooth them out quickly.

I don't know if I've ever seen a Case sodbuster without any visible marks/scuffs, upon close examination, even when new.
