Case Sodbuster vs Boker Sodbuster...............and the winner is........?

Case. The Boker blade may be ok but the knife will have gaps and the quality I the Case will be more noticeable.

I wouldn't write off the Boker super quickly, they make a lot of really good knives. I think Case is the answer you'll get the most, as it is a more 'recognized' maker of the sodbuster, a classic traditional knife. But if you can handle both knives, I would let the pull, feel and finish make the decision for me.

Good luck, let us know what you end up with!

With all due respect to the OP and to BF - you can ask: "Brand Krap vs. Boker" and brand Krap will win.

Do you mean the lockback Boker? If so, I own both, the Case is nicer. The Boker locks. But it has a lot of gaps and the blade wiggles (very poor fit and finish). The Case soddies I own didn't have the greatest F&F either, but still better than the Boker.

If you want a Sodbuster, get the Case. If you want a locking knife that's shaped like a Sodbuster, get the Boker.

In my book, the Case wins. It has more character. The Boker has been relegated to being the garage knife.

I have a case, its not a refined knife that's for sure. Mine looks strong and has no play

Well I owned both and kept the case. The Boker Gaucho I had was a large sod buster pattern. The blade was ok, terribly dull. The Derlin handle wasn't rounded on the Boker like the Case, and the handle had gaps between the spacer and Derlin. I traded the Boker and kept the Case. I like Bokers but I tell it like it is.
