Anyone know what year Case stopped producing the Large Yellow Sodbuster?

I'd love to own one but they're real scarce. Heck even the Large black ones are hard to find now.

Did Case ever make the Large Yellow Sodbuster with a linerlock?

Are they are large as they used to be or a scaled down version that is just a bit bigger than the Jr.?

I tried finding pics to compare but didn't find much.

The 3138 is a real gem IMHO. I can't believe they ever discontinued it, but then again I don't ever recall seeing a new one for sell, so it must have been before my time. They kinda slipped in under the radar, with all of most peoples attention directed towards GEC, and the Bullnose work knife, they're all (quality sodbusters) good as far as I'm concerned.

Looking at a knife collecting guide* I sometimes refer to, it shows Case carried the '3138' pattern in the 1982-1988 time frame (don't see any yellow soddies listed prior to 1982, either large or small), then apparently discontinued it around 1989. For that year, the guide lists it as '3138 Disc' (I'm assuming 'Disc' means 'Discontinued'), and includes the same 'Disc' suffix for all '38-pattern large soddies, in fact, in both yellow and black (3138, 3138 SS, 2138, 2138 SS). It then lists the black-handled 2138 and 2138 SS quickly coming back in 1990, but not the yellow 3138 or 3138 SS. The large yellow soddie is absent from the listings through 2000 (at least). That's as recent as my guide gets.

I have a couple of 3138 CV in a 2006 date stamp, and even those appear to have been a short run, until now.
