Hello Ya'll
I picked up a case kentucky bicentennial pocket knife. It has stag handles, its 6 5/8 overall with a 3 inch blade. It has case kentucky 1776, 1976 bicentennial on the blade with a small brid and daniel boone holding a flint lock rifle. Looks like it has never been used or sharpenend. Number on the blade is 5137ss, other side sez case xx u.s.a. with four dots under the usa. Could anyone tell me what it might be worth? I would say the knife is in excllent to mint condtion. Thankyou Mtmag

These were produced in three different handle materials, each in a Red, White and Blue display box with acrylic lid. The Stag handle was the lowest in production. Unfortunately they were all produced in rather large quantities and coupled with the fact that the Bicentennuial knives are not very popular does not help the value of this knife. I have seen these sell for as little as $25 and for as much as $75 depending on the condition of the knife, if the box is present and in mint condition, etc. I would do a Search on Ebay and you will get a good idea of the exact market value. Hope this helps.

I would check richies, or houston's proce guide, I believe, both, or one or the other have them. Voyles book on comm. knives also may have it listed.

I thought I'd resurrect this thread to see if anyone knows a little history about why Case made a Kentucky Bicentennial knife? I haven't seen any other states so there has to be a story behind it.
