Did Case only do the 5347 with carbon steel before the 70's? Or is it just that it is desireable enough with carbon blades that noone wants to sell it? I keep looking for one on eBay but all I ever find are the red or blue scroll stag ones. Just curious.
 
The last year of standard production for the 5347 with CV (carbon steel) blades was 1970. Since then the only 5347s made have been limited edition runs with stainless steel blades. The only exceptions being some that have been made with Damascus blades in the late 80's to 90's, technically the Damascus is not a stainless steel.
