Their steels used for the general line are:

420 stainless.

C-V (Chrome Vanadium) which is a chromed carbon steel.

Straight 1095 carbon steel.

They use some higher grade steels on their higher end lines also, but you'll see the three listed most often.
 
When I emailed Case asking about their steel, they claimed to use 440XC. Methinks that's just a little ===**, but maybe not.
 
They might of changed it, but if they did, it was recent. Last year someone asked on Knifeforums, and they replied that Case Tru-Sharp steel was 420, with a mid 50's rockwell.
