So, it is black powder elk season in Washington again. The boy and I are headed out. This year, I will have my large yellow case stockman for a utility knife and cap scraper. My fixed blade is a Reeve Ubejane.

Nate will take a SAK and his Bill Seigle.

Good times. Will try to bring a pic or to back. Here is a pic of last years camp knife. Case bartender knife with smooth bone handle.

Good luck on your Elk huntin. If your like us, we still make sure to have a great time even if we don't score.

I could tell ya where there are a bunch of Elk, but your in the wrong state :D

Heck we got 20 yards from a couple small herds and still couldn't get a clean shot  Damn bow huntin :D

Bring some pictures back regardless of whether you get your tag punched or not!. Good stuff, Ed!

Keep your powder dry and watch your top knot. Happy Hunting!

Taking any more wine with you:D

Last year looked like a decent time:thumbup:

Well gang, no elk hanging this year. Nathan and I had a great time, but dad was pretty sick. Had to pull camp early.
Here is the stockman in a fence
post up on the hill.
Did not take any wine this year :(

We did have a little surprise this year. Black powder season is fairly early and most of the time we are worried about being too warm. Not this year...

Thanks for the pics.

Hope your dad feels better.
