Just ordered this bad boy last night. haven't got it yet, but I think I am in love already.

Not my first traditional, as I have a Buck 55, and a Case Tiny Trapper, but always thought of them more as back up knives.

I think this guy is gonna be in my pocket more often then not! I am not sure about the steel however...... Would have preferred the CV, but wanted the thinner profile of the Gent over the Jack.

Might just have to pick up the Jack next though. ;)

I have the Swayback Jack version and I agree its a nice design with the right steel in my opinion!

I have the same model you are showing. And I have two of the SB jacks as well. I carry the SBG like yours much more than the other two. It just feels right in the hand and in the pocket. I think you are going to be pleased.

I have one in blue and really love it. However, it is very small and light. I usually only carry it when I am wearing a suit. It hasn't replaced my mini trapper for EDC. I guess that is why it is called a Gent's knife. I am probably going to get a swayback jack when I recover from Christmas. The second blade will add a little substance.

For me to carry a traditional knife, it has to be thin, and disappear in my pocket.

Really anything larger than this, or thicker and it becomes too apparent in my pocket if it falls to the bottom horizontally.

That is why I picked this pattern as it is small enough to disappear, yet large enough to be quite useful.

I am not a traditional guy when it comes to knives, and prefer a pocket clip for the reasons above, but have a Buck 55 I enjoy, and recently got a case tiny trapper for a backup knife, and was impressed so........

Giving this guy a shot. ;)

I have the very same knife like you´ve ordered

Being honest, I don´t carry it too often. It´s just too thin imo. If I would have spent the few bucks more for the secondary penblade and the CV steel it would get more pocket time. It´s a dress knife for me - and I wear a dress about two times per year... ;)

Andi, it looks like you've carried it more than twice a year. Unless you've had it a loonnggg time. It looks great too.

I like the way the handle covers feel when you hold it. The pocket worn finish does feel very nice. The slimness of the knife is also a plus to me. As I said earlier, it seems to find its way into my pocket more so than the two SBJs I have. Over the last year and a half, I find I have a real affinity for single blade knives. With some exceptions... of course. And I reserve the right to change my mind later on.

But, I digress. For me the red bone pocket worn sway back gent is definitely a winner.

LOL! :D Now I have to clean the tea off my computer screen! :D

Coffee for me, but same result.:D

LOL!!! Oh man ... now I see what you mean. I think you guys knew what I mean - hopefully... I think I need an english dictionary, I know now that the correct word is suit :p

Ed: The bone handles feel great. That´s correct. But I didn´t carry it too much because the almost written reasons. But that´s just my personal taste of knives in general, I think.

I feel left out as I only wore my dress once this year.! I will make up for it in 2013 and wear my "Formal" to a Knife Show in Knoxville and bring my Silver Purse with me also. <<<<< funny......lol

I wish there was a cv version of the swayback gent. Preferably with pink scales to match my favorite dress.

I see you guys (and gals)... after I realized what I have written - this would follow me the year 2013... but humor is, when despite of this laughing and smilling.

To prevent something like this - I gonna use the translator more often :p

Keep the comments coming - each of them is great... silver purses, pink handles ... great just great :D
