My Google-fu is weak today. I am trying to decide between a Case Sway Back Gent and Jack and trying to get a feel for the difference in the width. Can anyone post a photo of a top down photo for comparison?

Any help appreciated, thank you in advance.

Here's a pretty crappy cell phone pic of a SBJ and SBG. The Gent has some pretty fat stag but the width of the bolsters should give you some reference. The Jack weighs 2.25 oz, the Gent 1.55 oz. Hope that helps.

Thank you sir! Very helpful.

Do you have a preference between the two?

I've carried the Gent more then the Jack. I'm not quite sure why. I usually have another knife with me, so the utility of having mutiple blades on one knife is of less importance.

I prefer the 2-blade Swayback Jack and sold my 1-blade Swayback Gent. I typically only carried the one knife and I liked having the two different blades for different tasks. Also the 2-blade is done right and the spring wraps around so that there's no empty space in the well. You're not going to find that on many knives in this price range. Also, it's a small knife and I find the slightly thicker 2-blade to be more comfortable in my hand. On the other hand, the slimmer 1-blade may carry a bit more comfortably in a watch pocket since it's thinner. Personally, I don't find it comfortable to carry any knife in a watch pocket. It's a matter of personal preference.

They are essentially both gentleman knives and are at it's size, it really doesn't matter which you have in hand, although I like overall the SBJ. The difference in thickness is just about a single covers width.
And like Marksharp , I do carry the CV SBJ more than the gent due to the patina:thumbup:.

The overall determining factor would be which covers you like best. As most available now are the SS blades.

I agree with Jake on the above points, especially the portion I've bolded.

From another thread:

I added a peanut for scale.
