Just wanted to post up two of my favorite knives from Case. I've had the swayback for close to a year now and it rides in my watch pocket everyday. It has a little less blade on it from all the sharpening but it holds an edge like you wouldn't believe. Just got the backpocket and love it. Both are tuned up by Tony Bose. He said the BP Rockwells at 61. So Im sure that one will hold a great edge.

George, Now that's a NICE pair of Case knives
right there... Thanks for sharing!

George, I have the same Swayback nicely patina'd as well but that Backpocket is absolutely gorgeous:thumbup:

I'm with you, Duckman. It's a rare day anymore when I'm not carrying one or the other if not both.

Very nice job on the patina on both knives, btw. It makes me think I need to try some of that CV.

Nice pair you have there George. That swayback looks like it's getting some real use, at the rate you're going you'll have to replace it in a year or two.

The patina is something Tony puts on them. I'm sure a natural patina would look great. Just would take a little longer.

One or the other is usually in my pocket or sheath (oops). The Tony Bose cv models always seem sharper than my other Cases.

Cut some fresh picked tomatoes with the BP for supper but it has a long way to go before it gets anywhere near the elegant patina of yours. And you sure ar giving the SBJ a worrkout on those beautiful decoys.

God bless Tony Bose.

That kind of patina can be quickly achieved with a few coats of "cold blue" such as Birchwood Casey's, found at some most sporting good stores. It's for touching up worn out blueing on firearms.

how did you get that pattina on the back pocket i just bought my fist case in cv and wondering if i should force it or let it be natural.

That Backpocket is a beaut. I've been wanting one for a while now but being in the middle of a house purchase all spending is halted until we close. I know what I'm getting myself for a house warming gift ;)

I ordered one today. George has told me about these for a year. I cant believe theyre hasnt been a thread about these great little knives!
