How many versions of a Case/Tony Bose collaboration trapper are there?

Recently there was the millenium version but were there other versions before that? If there were, how do each compare against each other for collectability? Thanks.

Toothed, there has been 3 knives released to date. The Slimline Trapper, the Bullnose Trapper and the Rat Tail. The 4th release is due out in July. It will be a Gardners knife pattern with peachseed jigged antique bone. ATS-34 blade and about 3 7/8" closed.
As far as collectibility....................only time will tell.

The order that Greg listed these knives is the order in which they were released. The new one that is coming looks like it is going to be a really nice knife.

Thanks for the replies. I'm only interested in the Case/Tony Bose trapper collaborations. I've seen various descriptions used in the aftermarket. Sometimes listed as a "Millenium trapper" and sometimes just as "trapper." I'm aware of the recent Millenium version but wondered if there were earlier "just trapper(s)" collaboration(s). Also, if there were earlier trapper collaborations are they more desirable than the Millenium version. How do they compare in materials used and other collectable factors? Thanks again.

What is referred to as the Millenium trapper is the one that resembles the Rem. 1123 Trapper (Bull - nose is another name sometimes used). These guys came in 2 or three minor handle differences. I have seen two.

I know some folks have had bad runs of these puppies, but of the 30 or so I have handled from the beginning (I got a bunch for TKCL folks each year), my only complaints have been poor final sharpening (lots of burrs especially on the slimlines first year). Otherwise I have been happy with the quality.

If enough collectors who intend on keeping them are interested maybe we can work out a bulk purchase for this years model. I kind of got soured on doing this in the past when I saw people trying o make a fast buck when I did it before.

Thanks Gus, I'm learning more with each post on this thread. Since my budget calls for only one collaboration trapper at this time, I want to convince myself that I'm getting the one that I "really" prefer first.

The gardner's knife due for release is JUST what I've been waiting for! About time one of the big name companies re-introduced a high-end pruner!!!

Gotta get me a few.

Sorry about the pics.Trying to figure the right light and flash or no flash.
That pruner is way cool.

Of the two trappers I prefer the slimline. That new one with the prunning blade looks fantastic. That is a real usful looking blade shape.

toothed,
they both have their virtues.Actually I collect trappers of both patterns.I HAD to buy them both:)

I spotted a couple of the Pruners on Ebay. So much for the July release. From the way I understood the different bone on the Bullnose Trapper was, there were 500 made with the standard jigged bone and 500 were made with the same jigging except they were pocketworn too. A little smoother edges in the jigging.
