Is the jigged Buffalo horn scaled handle thicker more like the Genuine Stag handles or is it thinner and more flat sided like the jigged bone handles ?
Thanks.
Gee I might get the Buffalo Horn even if it isn't all that bulky.
Then I'll be the only person in the entire BladeForums that owns a Case Teardrop with Buffalo Horn scales .
Who'da thought ?
OK you bunch of babies listen up.
That's the way one of my high school math teachers used to open his class.
The Smooth White Bone Teardrop measures just under 8.5mm.
The Black Water Buffalo Horn Teardrop measures nearly 12mm at the thickest point. I'm totally pleased; I was looking for a bulkier handle without going to Stag. I have Stag but up until now had no Water Buffalo. Glad I took the chance.
With the Wharncliffe blade in this kind of gnarly old fashioned handle it has a lot of presence for such a small knife.
My advice : Buy one before they stop making them again.
