case test run knives

Looking for a little help to id two case knives I have recently added to my collection. The first is a mini trapper pattern 6207. Main blade is engraved Test Run 1996. Has dark red handles and case-XX sheild. Second one about the same. Pattern 6227, engraved Test Run 1996, case-XX sheild, but handles appear a little lighter in color but close to same. Wonder how many were made ect. Mabey someone could suggest a book or a place to write. Any info appreciated.
