I picked up a very well "used" Tested XX Toothpick at a flea mkt with broken striped celluloid scales and a blade worn down to almost needle shape and various dings.
A friend and I spent a few hours cleaning it up and replacing the destroyed celluloid with smooth stag.
Still not a 500 dollar knife but at least it is something I can carry now and still a piece of history even though modified :)
Does anyone know how common this ( 1093?) pattern was back in the Tested Era?

You guy's did a good job on that one, looks nice:thumbup:

Thanks :) It doesn't look premium but I wish I had taken a Before pic of it. It looked like it had been in a greasy toolbox for fifty years. Around 50 percent of the handle material left on either side.
We improved it as best we could.

Looks real nice, you have a nice find there. I'm going to have to check out the flea markets around here.
