Greetings!

Sold Grandmother's house after she passed and going through 55 years of items, I ran across these 2 knives that I know have not been used since my Grandfather was alive 20+ years ago. Knowing nothing about knives and not going to sell them, I just wanted to know a little about them.

Case - Based on the Markings from the blade, I verified it was made from 1920-40 (Case Tested XX). http://www.flickr.com/photos/20343978@N08/6836305247/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/20343978@N08/6836304381/

Syracuse - I can find no information on this one, but the blade states: Syracuse, Knife Co, Syracuse NY. http://www.flickr.com/photos/20343978@N08/6836306279/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/20343978@N08/6836306697/

I would eventually like to pass them to my son. Thanks for the time!

Sorry to hear of your grandmother's passing.

I'll leave this here for a bit to see if anyone can help you with info not related to price. If the folks here can't help I'd suggest reposting in Bernard Levine's Knife Collecting & Identification sub forum, leaving out the request for pricing info.

Please refer to the Sticky:

Guidelines For The "Traditional Folders & Fixed Blades" Sub-Forum
Guidelines Regarding eBay, "Exchange" Listings, Commercial / Vendor Links & Knife Valuation Requests

Per the rules of the exchange and in furtherance of curtailing potential abuse of membership privileges associated with the forums, questions regarding valuation of knives and collections are limited to those with a membership level which permits selling on this site. Accordingly, registered and basic members may not start or post in threads with such requests whether with the intent to sell or for informational purposes only. Even with that caveat, the Traditional forum is probably not the proper venue for such questions and such threads may be moved to a more appropriate area of the site.

The Syracuse knife was made by Camillus, in the 1930's. I have an identical one here that I bought at a thrift store a couple years ago, and it's a nice thin little EDC.
