Case Tested XX Razor n Strop

I know there is a razor forum but fig'rd ya'll wouldn't mind if Tony showed off a real treat for the eyes and learned a bit of Bose lore in the process. Back when Tony was a youngster, a friend of his showed him how to handle a straight razor. He and his buddy would go around the neighborhood and give folks a real traditional shave to make a little spending money.

Another friend of Tony's just sent him this barely used Case Tested XX razor with box! Plus, take a look at the Case Bros leather strop in excellent condition. Nice! It's good to be Tony Bose.

Have you traced back to an exact year or year period? Little Valley is old, I believe that makes it circa 1910 if memory serves.

From what I can find out this razor was made between 1907 and 1911. It has seen very little use and is still bright. Legend has it Wyatt Earp once shaved with this razor. I have a couple bridges for sale here in Indiana if anyone is interested.

A great piece of history, very nice...I really like the Case Brothers leather strap, that is almost as nice as the razor...Thanks for sharing..

I remember my great Grandad's razor strop. He would pop it and tell me if I didn't behave he'd spank me with it. I never knew at the time he wouldn't have. But, at that time I was quick to, er, snap to. Just in case he might. I have one of his straight razors for which I'm glad. I just wish I had his old strop.
