Hello
I am looking at a group of Case knives and came across a 3-blade with Case Tested XX on the tang. The guide I use indicates the knife to be in the 1920 -40 era. No dots. I can NOT find the 4 or 5 digit number. I'm guessing it starts with 6 3 _ _ . Nice bone handle. Looking for the year, 4-5 digit number. I can send pic if interested. Cant figure out to do it on this forum.

Thanks

2bidnbuy, welcome to Bladeforums!

As Blades&Bullets notes, it's against forum rules to ask about value without the proper membership level.
As such, I edited out that request, but I am moving your thread to our Traditional Knives subforum where you may get better intel regarding year and identification number.

Feel free to acquaint yourself with the Bladeforums FAQ: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/faq.php

If I'm not mistaken he asked about the pattern number not being on the Tang Stamp. I believe it was 1949 when they started the pattern number tang stamp.
