So i wanted to post up a few pics
a certain someone made the comment that she was looking forward to watching these two age together
i did cut up a few peppers with my GEC and decided to wipe it down with an apple cider vinegar soaked paper towel (WOW apple cider vinegar works much faster on GEC's 1095 than it does on case's CV)
so now that the gec has got some aging i thought i would do another few pics
Here is where, in my opinion the texas jack has a large advantage over the clip blade 85
The clip sticks way out in the closed position meaning its nowhere near as slender as the serpentine jack
One other thing i wanted to say is the pulls, originally i was saying the GEC's pull was only noticeably stronger, i think i may have to chalk that one up to excitement of the moment. The 85 is no nail breaker by any stretch, but lacks the smooth easy pull of the texas jack
And here is where, in my opinion the GEC has a large advantage over the texas jack
GOD i love that large clip when i am using it, just looks cool too. Now if history is any indicator i have never used a knife up, but in theory i have to figure the GEC blade will last alot longer than the case, just because it would take 3x as long to sharpen it all away
Here is just a couple pics showing the differences in the pen blade placements
Obviously the Gec has the pen blade in the front and the clip in the back and nail nicks on the same side
meanwhile the texas jack has the pen blade in the back and the clip in the front and nail nicks on the opposite side. I dont really have any preference but i think the gec looks kinda strange with both blades open,
And this is just a cool "just because" pic, this one is for you Kevin
anyways, hope you enjoyed
and maybe just maybe learned something too
