The Case Tiny Trapper I ordered from NGK arrived via UPS today. It's a beauty! I was surprised to see it is one of the first 500 made, marked 1st Run on the clip blade. The BoneStag (whatever that is) scales are nicely done and quite handsome. I really like this little knife and I look forward to carrying it -or- should I keep it in a drawer?
This is the first Case knife I have purchased in 25 years and I'm impressed. We'll see how the 420HC blades work out.

Carry it! Don't let that pretty little knife rot away in some sock drawer. I really like the design of the Tiny Trapper but the one that I bought was far below Case quality so I ended up returning it. I think that if I get another, that it was going to be the perfect watch pocket knife.

Cute little knife, isn't it? Definitely pocketable!

Bone stag is bone that is made to look like real stag horn. I thnik Case did a real good job on this. I have a Peanut (another cute knife) in bonestag and am impressed with how much it looks like stag.

Dean-
Thanks. It makes sense that Bone stag is bone made to look like stag. I looked the Tiny Trapper over real close with a 12x magnifying glass and I think it looks great. I have more expensive knives with far more flaws. I have decided to carry this little knife and enjoy using it. I might even have to buy a Peanut - handy looking knife.

I've had three and sold two, it's best to buy all new Case knives in person. The fit and finish can vary greatly. I look for blade fit and grind. I got excited about this knife and then got out one of my many vintage Case knives and the excitement was all but over. The only reason I kept one was because I liked the Santa Tin.:) :)
