I'm sure that at least a few people at Case, and the Ol' Dog hisself, know or at least have an idea of what the collaboration piece will be for 2013. At least, we know it will have 154CM blade/blades, and your choice of bone, wood, stag and MOP scales. I have 4 of the annuals; a dogleg jack, a Tribal Spear, a Coffin Jack and the Lanny's Clip. All have bone scales, both antique and chestnut, except for the Tribal Spear, which comes with ebony scales.

I don't have a list of all of the patterns that Tony offers in front of me, my Blade Guide to Knives has a condensed pattern listing of what Tony offers in their chapter on his work. I have been quite happy with the four I have, and have carried all except the dogleg jack. The Tribal Spear is my favorite, and I have been looking for one with bone scales, I like the pattern so much.

His saddlehorn trapper, Backpockets, Panama trapper, swaybacks and sowbellys are some nice examples of his regular collaborations with Case. What would you like to see in 2013? I'm guessing that this collaboration will be unveiled at the SHOT show. Do you think we'll see a fixed blade? Maybe a large multi blade?

Taking a look on Tony and Reese's site, I wouldn't mind seeing a barlow offering for the annual knife.

He had made a Eureka jack as a special contest knife, for a charity. I would really like to see a Eureka jack offered this year...

I wouldn't mind seeing a stockman, but three blades of 154CM might be cost prohibitive, not to mention all the fitting etc.

I would certainly like to see the eureka jack be the one. I don't know if I could afford one if it was, but even so, that would be my recommendation.

MOP is abalone shell. What's the difference?

Here"s your difference. Top knife is gold lip MOP and the bottom one is abalone (green). They are not the same species of shell.

Thoughts of the 2013 collaboration knife popped into my head just yesterday. Looks like silenthunterstudios was on the same page. Two questions. Isn't the chosen model revealed at Shot Show (?) in February? I seem to recall hearing that the knife is never a model that is currently offered by Case, anyone else heard that?

I think the Shot Show is next week? May know sooner than later !!

It would be nice to see a smaller front pocket friendly every day user. A Barlow would work for me or how about a peanut?

Thanks,

If it isn't currently made by CASE, then there's a rich seam of potential in defunct patterns. Loomfixer anybody? And, why not revive REAL Redbone as an option too........
