First Impressions

Modified wharncliffe 154CM steel blade,Medium pull Nice action, good snap. It came extremely sharp and the blade has no wobble/play.
Backspring flush in all 3 positions, milled liners, weighs about 86.7 gram

Backspring and liners are pretty seamless but upon further inspection there is a gap towards the bolster where light shines through.

Blade is centered pretty good

Swedging is nice,

Semi sunk joint and scales are matched great and dark. The shield is slighty raised above the bone

I did also find a gap between the scale and liners toward the tip of the handle and between one of the bolsters and liner that I'm having trouble getting with my iPhone camera

My overall impression is that it's a great knife for the money but it's not flawless nor did I expect it to be. Overall i'm pretty happy with it. Sorry if some of the pictures aren't that great, all I have right now is my iPhone camera.

Thanks for looking.

Incredible pictures with that iphone, Nate!!
Nice knife too!;) I have an order in for one.
Are the handles that red in hand?

Thanks Charlie. I've had plent of practice with the iPhone camera by now hahah

I would say the coloring in the pictures is pretty acurate to real life.

Overall a very, very, nice knife. The scales are really nice.

Maybe it's been said elsewhere but is the shield pinned?

As Charlie said, the pictures are very good.

Mjolnir74, it doesn't to me but I'm used to carrying knives clipless in pocket. I guess it's kind of subjective but IMO it doesn't.

Ed, yes I agree it is a great knife and thank you. The shield is single pinned and I believe all of the Bose collabs are IIRC.

Thanks, I've carried a slipjoint everyday for the last 5 years, so I'm used to them. To me after 3 3/4" they start to feel long when they sit flat at the bottom of my pocket. I really like that design it looks very useful. Thanks for the reply and pics.

I like everything about this knife-I've been on the fence, but getting ready to jump off!!!....Tony

Wow, really great pics. I guess I have no excuses when I blame my iPhone for poor pictures anymore.

I have long admired that particular knife. It is definitely on the list. Thanks for sharing!

Bone and bolsters look particularly good.

Is the shield proud of the bone? Can you feel its edges when you run your fingers over the handle or is it sunk?

I'm glad you guys like it. It's a great knife.

The secret to good iPhone pictures is to first wipe the lense as clean as possible first then when you're ready to take the shot hold you breath and get as still as you possibly can.

The shield does protrude and I will try to get a picture of it tonight.

If you make that shield dead flush you will grind the jigging off the bone when you grind the pin off and finish the shield. I always leave them a little proud on bone and stag.

Thanks Rob. And...

WOW! The living legend himself showed up. Now this thread is really something. :)

Thanks for that bit of info and thanks showing up. :)

The knife is great and has better f&f than half the customs I've seen. Great job Case and you did on these.
