I don't usually buy collector sets but there's no way that I could resist a set commemorating Tony Bose. And since it contains a three pack of Case Tony Bose knives, I was 3x as anxious for it to be delivered! :) The set arrived in the mail today I thought I'd share some photos. From what I understand, Tony picked out the jigged bone and shields for these knives. The fit and finish is some of the best that I've seen on production knives. I couldn't resist and I carried one of the knives in my watch pocket today.

Oh man that is sweet. I have been sorely tempted by that set too. I would have to at least carry the swayback. :D.

Very nice, Jake! The Sowbelly is a pattern I need to get. I have two Saddlehorns and one Swayback Jack (not from the set) and I really need to get me a Case Sowbelly.

They all look great in the matching set and display case.

May I ask which one you carried today?

Thank you, guys. Gus is right, I had to carry the Sway Back. But if I had three watch pockets, I might have carried all three! :)

Very nice. I'd go insane trying to decide which to carry. Those are all fantastic patterns.

I am not a collector, but a user. But I am not made of stone. Those are such great examples of classic knives they could sure tempt a fella. Especially with that pedigree.

I would probably have to buy two so I could carry a set in rotation and admire the rest!

Great knives.

Jake, what a sweet set of beauts!!
My personal pick out of them would be that Saddlehorn, WOW!! ( not that I would turn my nose up at the sowbelly )...
Jake...did you buy this set to keep mint, as in a together collectors set that will always be worth its greater value if mint?...or are they going to be users....if even just light users?

I'm almost tempted to buy that just for the SBJ. That thing is absolutely gorgeous.

That is superb. I wouldn't be able to resist that either.

Thank you guys. The knives are highly polished and obviously intended to be collected. There's even a medallion identifying them as genuine Case collectibles. But the blades are sharp and I'd like to use them -- respectfully, of course. I've been wanting each of these three patterns and they are my first of each (except I do own a single blade Sway Back in ebony) . I bought the set second hand and they are close to mint but not mint so it makes the decision a little easier. And I don't think there's a better way to honor Tony Bose's work than using and enjoying his knives. I've seen him ask "how does it cut" about his own custom knives so I think that he intends for his knives to be used. I also use two of my Case/Bose collaboration knives regularly and will probably use them all eventually. I'm still missing a knife that's necessary for any collector of Bose knives -- a knife made by Tony Bose!
