Trapbuster? A new pattern?

Well....not really, at least not from Case. This is the results of giving a talented gentleman two Case Sodbuster Jr's and asking him to make one knife out of them. I call it a Trapbuster as it combines a trapper and a Soddie all in one package. He added the bone as a replacement for the yellow delrin and opened up the nail nicks ala Scagel, andadded a touch of filework...

I really like this knife...and best of all...it's CV!

I'll take it!
I mean, dang that's nice.

gee thanks ab's, now ya got all kind of wild thoughts running through my head:D
Wow turned out great, bone is awesome!
I'd buy a 2 bladed soddie! for sure
cheers

Those cut through nail nicks make is very easy to open even tho it has pretty good snap, and the brass liners and pins really set off both the bone and the file work. This is the second knife he has done for me, the first was another Soddie seen below. You can find him on the all about pocket knives forum using the screen name muskratman.

My Da just saw it at dinner...I think he's jealous... ;)

I was cautious when I read the title, not anymore. That is awesome. Looks great. I am jealous. I love that main blade profile and the all the way through nail nicks.

That really turned out well. I love that clip blade.
Now where did I put my Dremel?.....

I might be able to duplicate the shape of the blades with a dremel but not the superb hollow grind and polish on them.

That is a great looking knife. Ya got some kind of a brown reptile bone going on there and I love the look of it! Case better be paying attention. It might be a new design for them to take a look at.

That is a beautiful knife. MM does do great work. He did a custom mikov with wild thang scales for me. I love it.

That filework is very nice, classy looking knife. You and Caleb did very well on the collaboration.

No doubt!

I wish it was that easy, but I know its not. All I would do is mangle a perfectly good knife.

Now if I can just find 2 full sized CV Soddies.....

Sadly wait time is now over two months...when you get good you get business and Caleb is a bit backlogged but the wait was well worth it.
